Sky News corrects pro-Hezbollah headline
We complained to Sky News’ Middle East editor about this pro-Hezbollah headline which accompanied an analysis by Dominic Waghorn:
We noted that it was of course Hezbollah which has been provoking Israel with rocket fire on Israel’s northern communities almost daily since Oct. 8th, when they decided to support Hamas after their barbaric antisemitic massacre carried out a day earlier. In other words, the IDF’s intensified attacks on Hezbollah military targets, which began yesterday, came only after 11 months of rocket and missile fire which forced over 60,000 Israelis near the border from their homes.
Further, the Iranian-backed proscribed terror group, let’s remember, has no territorial dispute with Jerusalem, and, since 2006, has been continually violating UN Resolution 1701, which forbids them from having a presence south of the Litani River (roughly 30 km from the Israel-Lebanon border).
Shortly following our complaint to the editor, as well as a firestorm of criticism by others on X, the headline was amended:
