Good afternoon, I'm Kayla Sprague, and welcome to our ALL ISRAEL Prayer Points for August 1st.

This is the 300th day of this war. And as we gather to pray for Israel and the Jewish people, let's focus on the recent events that have been shaping the region this week.

First, I want to share with you what's been happening here on the ground, and then I'll show you specifically how we can be praying together.

Our first prayer focus concerns the dramatic and shocking assassination of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh in a stunning development – we woke up and he was killed in Tehran early Wednesday morning.

The assassination came just hours after Israel eliminated Hezbollah's chief of staff in Beirut.

These high profile strikes have significantly escalated tensions and unknowns throughout the region.

Our second prayer focus involves Israel's preparation for a potential retaliation.

Israel is bracing for the possible Iranian retaliation, while sending a clear message that any massive harm to civilians will be considered an act of war.

The IDF has raised overall preparedness, and security measures have been increased around Israeli officials, and embassies worldwide.

Our final prayer focus addresses the broader implication of these events.

These assassinations have sent shock waves throughout the region, and Iran's Supreme National Security Council has convened in a rare circumstance that there are concerns about potential escalation that could lead to a wider conflict.

So how can you be praying specifically? Let's turn to our prayer points, now that you understand the context.

Let's pray for protection for Israeli civilians and soldiers:

A shield for the people of Israel from potential retaliatory attacks.

Wisdom and discernment for IDF leaders in their defensive strategies.

Guidance for Prime Minister Netanyahu and his cabinet, making prudent decisions.

Clarity and unity among Israel's security apparatus:

Let's also be praying for peace in the entire region

Salvation for Muslim world leadership.

Breakthrough in resolving the long-standing conflicts

Ask God for a change of heart among those who seek Israel's destruction.

Let's pray for God to comfort all of those affected by the violence.

To bring solace and comfort to families who have lost loved ones on all sides of this conflict.
There needs to be healing and trauma for the fear experienced in the communities under threat.

And finally, let's continue to pray for justice and righteousness.

Pray for the exposure and dismantling of terrorist networks.

Ask God for protection for all innocent lives in every nation involved.

As we conclude, I want to remind you that your prayers are powerful and effective.

May we continue to stand in the gap for Israel, for the Jewish people, and for peace all across the Middle East.

We are reminded in weeks like this of Psalm 121: "He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep," and we put our trust in the God of Israel.
