Hello, I'm Kayla Sprague for ALL ISRAEL NEWS.
Thank you for joining us for today’s vital prayer points after Israel endured massive attack from Iran last night. In these moments of uncertainty, as believers, we turn to scripture.
Psalm 121:4 reminds us: "Indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep."
Speaking of Jerusalem, God also says in Zechariah 2:5: "And I will be to her a wall of fire all around."
Those verses ring so true to many of us here in the land after the events of last night’s massive missile attack from Iran. As we approach Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, we're reminded of God's faithfulness through both trials and celebrations.
Iran launched approximately 180 ballistic missiles at Israel, an attack of unprecedented scope. By God's grace and the effectiveness of Israel's defense systems, the majority of these missiles were intercepted. While we're deeply thankful that no Israeli lives were lost, we know that the impact on our nation has been significant.
Many families spent hours in shelters, gripped by fear as rockets rained down. Three Israelis were lightly wounded, and there are reports of some property damage. The emotional toll on our people, especially as we prepare to celebrate the Jewish New Year, is heavy.
In light of these events and the approaching holiday, let us pray:
1. For the families who endured hours of uncertainty in shelters. May they find renewed peace and strength as they gather for Rosh Hashanah.
2. For those who were injured or whose property was damaged. May they receive the support they need to recover and heal.
3. For wisdom for the Israeli government as they determine how to respond to this attack. May they be guided by discernment and strategic insight.
4. For divine protection over Israel as tensions remain high. May God's hand of safety be evident in Israel's defensive operations.
5. For the emotional and spiritual well-being of all Israelis, especially children, as we process these events and enter the New Year. May God's comfort be tangible in every home.
As we conclude, let's hold fast to the promise in Isaiah 41:10:
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
What are you praying for Israel as we enter this New Year in the wake of these events? We'd love to hear from you in the comments below.
