Palestinian cause won't be obstacle to peace, foreign minister tells Saudi news outlet in rare interview
Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen sees an opportunity for rapprochement and coexistence between Muslims and Jews, he stated in a rare interview on Sunday with Saudi news outlet Elaph.
"The Palestinian cause will not be an obstacle to achieving peace, and the current government will take practical steps to improve the Palestinian economy," he added.
Cohen also emphasized the Iranian nuclear threat as a common interest of both the Jewish state and Saudi Arabia.
"Iran is our common enemy, and peace between us will be for the benefit of the people of Israel and Saudi Arabia, and for the benefit of the Jewish people and the Muslim people."
