Kanye West praises Hitler, Nazis in bizarre continuation of anti-Semitic rage

In a highly-publicized interview on Alex Jones’ Infowars, which lasted more than three hours, Kanye West – who currently goes by Ye – praised Adolf Hitler and the Nazis while repeating claims that a Jewish mafia is controlling the media.

At one point during the interview, West said, “The Jewish media has made us feel like the Nazis and Hitler have never offered anything of value to the world. I see good things about Hitler, also.”

This statement came in response to a comment by Alex Jones saying that West was not a Nazi. At several points in the interview, Jones - who is known for his unfiltered talk show – appeared to push back on statements from West, which provoked even more praise of Hitler and against Jews.

In one bizarre portion of the interview, West, whose face was concealed under a black ski mask, pulled out a bottle of Yoohoo (chocolate drink) and a fish-tank net, a play on the name of Israel's incoming Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. While speaking in a high voice and pretending to be Netanyahu, West remarked, “I’m going to take your family away from you. We have to control the history books, we have to control the banks, and we have to go and kill people.”

Also participating in the interview was Nick Fuentes, an outspoken White supremacist and Holocaust denier, who made comments praising Russian President Vladimir Putin and Russia. However, West dominated most of the interview. Several hours after the interview aired, West shared an image of a Star of David merged with a swastika on social media. Early Friday morning, Twitter CEO Elon Musk ordered the removal of the tweet, as well as a suspension of West’s Twitter account for “incitement to violence.”

Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Michael Herzog decried the “hateful incitement, which could lead to violence and the death of Jews in horrifying incidents.”

The Republican Jewish Coalition also released a statement saying, “We vehemently condemn those comments and call on all political leaders to reject these messengers of hate and relegate them to the dustbin of history where they belong.”

The Simon Wiesenthal Center (SWC) also condemned the statements made by West.

“History teaches us that words and ideas can have profound consequences. Kanye West’s serial anti-Semitism is now accompanied with the deconstruction of evil,” the organization said.

The outrage over West’s comments comes as the number of anti-Semitic incidents in the U.S. have risen sharply. The Anti-Defamation League reported a 34% increase in anti-Semitic incidents in the U.S. last year, stating that it was “the highest number on record since ADL began tracking anti-Semitic incidents in 1979.”
