IDF soldier severely wounded in Hezbollah attacks, 2 others lightly injured
Israelis ‘fear the power of Hezbollah,’ senior member says
Three IDF soldiers were wounded in attacks launched from southern Lebanon, Israel Defense Forces stated on Thursday, while Hezbollah, once again, threatened to continue its attacks until the end of the fighting in the Gaza Strip.
An Israeli non-commissioned officer (NCO) was severely injured by an anti-tank guided missile fired by Hezbollah at the area of Kiryat Shmona, while two other soldiers were lightly wounded near Biranit.
The Hezbollah terror organization said it attacked a brigade headquarters of the 91st Galilee Division in Kiryat Shmona and claimed to have scored a direct hit on a barracks near Biranit. In addition, Hezbollah fire targeted the area of Mount Hermon, according to the IDF.
All of the wounded soldiers were evacuated to hospitals and their families were informed, the IDF said.

The wounding of the three Israeli soldiers came one day after a similar incident, when two IDF soldiers were lightly wounded as Hezbollah rockets exploded near Margaliot.
In addition, an anti-tank missile fired by Hezbollah struck a house in the town of Metula, Israel's Channel 12 news reported later on Thursday.
In retaliation, Israeli fighter jets attacked Hezbollah infrastructure in the Al-Khiam area in southern Lebanon, in the location where the launches were detected.
At the funeral of Hezbollah terrorists killed by Israeli strikes in the village Deir Kifa, a senior Hezbollah official reiterated that the terror group wouldn’t enter truce negotiations with Israel until it puts an “end to the Israeli offensive in Gaza,” according to Lebanese newspaper L’Orient Today.
“Hezbollah’s position about the mediations and negotiations underway today is the same as that of the Houthis, Hamas, Islamic Jihad and the resistance in Iraq,” said Nabil Qawouq, a member of Hezbollah’s Central Council.
“The resistance fears no threat and is ready for all eventualities,” he added. “The [Lebanese] South will be an arena for Israeli defeats.”
He further charged that the residents of Israel’s north “have no confidence in their army’s ability to protect them, they fear the power of Hezbollah.”
