IDF kills Hezbollah commanders & weapon smugglers, destroys munition depot on Syrian coast
Killed Hezbollah commander was highest-ranking terrorist killed since ceasefire

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) continues to strike Hezbollah targets in Lebanon as well as military equipment in Syria in recent days, continuing its aggressive efforts to enforce security and combat emerging threats on the northern border.
On Thursday morning, the IDF announced two overnight strikes against Hezbollah in Lebanon.
One strike targeted several terrorists as they were transferring weapons in the area of Yohmor in southern Lebanon, the IDF said.

Another, earlier strike in the area of Derdghaiya eliminated the terrorist Ahmad Adnan Bajjiga, “a battalion commander in Hezbollah's Radwan Force.”
The IDF stated that Bajjiga “advanced and directed numerous terror attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF troops” throughout the war.
“In recent months, Ahmad continued directing terror attacks against Israel’s Home Front, posing a threat to the State of Israel and its civilians. The IDF will continue to operate in order to remove any threat posed to the State of Israel,” the military said.

Earlier this week, the IDF eliminated the commander of the anti-tank unit in Hezbollah’s “Southern Front,” Hassan Kamal Halawi, near the town of Nabatieh.
“During the war, Halawi was responsible for numerous terror attacks against the State of Israel. He facilitated the movement of operatives and the supply of weapons into southern Lebanon. In recent months, Halawi continued to engage in terrorist activity against Israeli civilians,” the IDF said.
According to a post by Alma Research Center, Halawi “was a key operational expert who was in charge of the anti-tank units in south Lebanon. He is one of the highest-ranking officials eliminated since the ceasefire began.”
Also Thursday, Syrian reports said that Israeli fighter jets struck targets in the port of Latakia on the Syrian coast. Israel had not commented on the reports at the time of publication.

On Wednesday, the IDF said that it had struck 18 targets in Syria over the past week, among them two military airports in the Syrian desert that were attacked twice within four days.
The targets were “military capabilities that remained” at the former regime bases, the military said.
Syria’s official SANA news agency said that several airstrikes hit the area early Thursday morning.
The Hezbollah-affiliated Al-Mayadeen news outlet cited sources saying that the strikes hit military positions used by foreign militias linked to the new Syrian regime.
However, the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said the targets were “munitions depots” at the port, adding the strikes caused “huge material damage.”
It remains unclear whether the depots belonged to the ousted Assad regime, or potentially allied, Iran-linked militias, or to Syria’s new Islamist regime.
