EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Veteran broadcaster Lou Dobbs tells ALL ISRAEL NEWS that antisemitism is 'an evil that can’t be accepted or ignored'

Calling the surge of antisemitic demonstrations and threats in America “a sad and tragic era for this country,” veteran broadcast journalist and commentator Lou Dobbs – in an exclusive interview with ALL ISRAEL NEWS – called pro-Palestinian demonstrations on college campuses “sickening to watch.”

Dobbs – for decades a respected figure on first CNN and later FOX News Channel – currently hosts The Great America Show, a podcast covering breaking news and world events. His focus in the weeks since Hamas launched it’s bloody Oct. 7 attacks has, increasingly, been on Israel and the retaliation against Hamas terrorists in Gaza.

Despite attempts by the Biden administration – led by U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken – to press the Netanyahu government to accept cease fires, Dobbs believes that the American people stand firmly behind the State of Israel’s right to defend itself. “Americans believe that this is the moment for Israel to do what it must to assure the of…the future of the State of Israel and every Israeli citizen,” Dobbs contends. 

Turning his attention to domestic politics in the United States, Dobbs finds it “unbelievable” that with spiraling verbal and physical attacks on Jewish students across the nation, U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris this week announced that the Biden administration will launch a “national strategy to combat Islamophobia.” Dobbs calls that focus outrageous, and declared that “the ignorance of this administration is overwhelming.”

According to White House sources, the Islamophobia project will be a joint effort led by the Domestic Policy Council and the National Security Council to create a “detailed and comprehensive plan” to protect Muslims and those perceived to be Muslims in America.

“It’s just mind-boggling to think it could happen following the massacre of October 7,” Dobbs opines.

“The extraordinary thing about all that’s happening right down the United States – from the administration itself to these peculiarly radicalized students who are pro-Palestinian and anti-Israeli – there is a moral clarity here that is there for all to see: 1,400 Israelis killed. They were massacred by Hamas, a terrorist group.”

Alarmingly, Dobbs adds, the national media in America is “following in lockstep, the themes and the narratives established by the radicalized left in this country … which in my opinion is perfectly aligned with the Marxist Democrat Party.”

Ending on an optimistic note, Lou Dobbs contends that America “will overcome this, but there will be great travail and there will be a great conflict in this country in order to do so…it’s a fight worth having within our society and it’s a fight we have to engage right now because this kind of evil cannot be accepted, it cannot be ignored.”
