A rocket barrage was launched from the Gaza Strip towards Tel Aviv on Monday afternoon.

Israel Defense Forces detected 10 launches during the barrage. Most were intercepted by Israel, but one rocket fell in the city of Holon, just east of Jaffa. Another reportedly fell in an open area.

One man was reported to be moderately wounded after the rocket made an impact in the central city of Holon, damaging several cars and causing an impact crater in the street.

Israel’s Magen David Adom emergency services said it was treating a 45-year-old man with moderate injuries from shrapnel. The man was taken to Wolfson Medical Center with injuries to his leg.

Despite increasing IDF operations in the Gaza Strip, Palestinian terror groups such as Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) continue to launch rockets at Israel, mostly from the southern Gaza Strip.

Israel recently released evidence showing Hamas launching rockets from al-Mawasi, one of the humanitarian safe zones, which is considered a war crime, endangering the lives of Gazans seeking refuge.

On Dec. 7, the IDF detected a rocket launch dozens of meters from a UN facility in the southern Gaza Strip, also in one of the zones designated as a safe zone for people fleeing Khan Younis.

Israel has also documented several instances of rockets and rocket launchers being housed in schools, Boy Scout buildings, medical facilities and mosques
