Shin Bet thwarts terror cell planning attacks with help from terrorist in Lebanon
Israel's domestic intelligence service, Shin Bet, and the IDF arrested a terror cell in the West Bank that planned shooting attacks against Israeli citizens under the direction of a terrorist in Lebanon, the Shin Bet announced on Tuesday.
The operative of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, A'lam Ka'abi, who currently resides in Lebanon but is originally from Nablus, was expelled to the Gaza Strip as part of the deal that freed kidnapped IDF soldier Gilad Shalit from captivity in Gaza.
Ka'abi actively tries to recruit Palestinians in the West Bank to execute terror attacks.
Two M-16 rifles were confiscated during the investigation.
