VIDEO: Messianic ministries combine forces to set up 'Crisis Command Center' for war relief effort
In response to the horrible attacks in Israel on Oct. 7, several Messianic ministries have joined forces and are setting up a ‘Crisis Command Center” in central Israel to meet the many needs.
This joint project was initiated by Shmuel Salway of Lech L'cha, a discipleship ministry, and Yoel Goldberg of Netivah, a national youth ministry.
Other Israeli ministries that have joined the effort include Joseph Project , One for Israel, CBN Israel, Jacob's Hope, and others.
The ministries are building infrastructure that were serve as an ‘emergency response and relief center’ where aid can come in and out. They have ordered mattresses and blankets but said they need even more. They are providing emergency supplies and are sending out food and prepared meals to families in need.
The joint project is helping to assist displaced Israeli families who are fleeing the South of Israel that has been under heavy rocket attacks.
The Netivah Youth and Soldiers’Ministry, because of their close relationship with the Israel Defense Forces and believing soldiers, is focusing on meeting the needs of the soldier population.
Many soldiers arrived for duty at their military base with a lack of supplies. In addition, there have been complexities in getting certain supplies distributed to soldiers due to the large reserve call-up. As a result, some of the troops were in need of items, such as bedding, headlamps, battery packs for charging phones, and other items.
In addition, Lech L'cha, Netivah and FIRM have been mobilizing prayer for the soldiers and arranging for messages of encouragement to be sent to the soldiers, many of whom may be away from their families for a long time.
While the nation of Israel is hurting in this time of crisis, these and other believing ministries are reaching out with the love of Yeshua to his people, the people of Israel.
