Israeli cyber giant Check Point launches AI push with 500 new jobs

Check Point, an Israeli cybersecurity company, has announced its plans to hire 500 new employees in Israel.
The drive to hire the new employees is in order “to staff a recently launched artificial intelligence R&D center and develop new network security products by the end of 2025,” Ynet News reported.
According to the report, Check Point currently employs 7,000 people worldwide, including 3,000 in Israel. The 500 new hires represent a significant expansion, led by CEO Nadav Zafrir, who took over in December.
Zafrir previously served as the head of Israeli intelligence’s renowned Unit 8200, and founded the IDF’s Cyber Command in that unit.
Since becoming CEO of Check Point, Zafrir has indicated his intention to make artificial intelligence an integral part of the company’s focus.
In a recent interview with Globes, Zafrir said that AI “is changing the way cybersecurity is done dramatically,” and that “the last time there was such a change was when the Internet began.”
He went on to say that Check Point “will reinvent what cybersecurity looks like in the age of AI.”
