Iranian Intelligence claimed on Wednesday that it caught three spies working for Israel’s Mossad agency.

The alleged spies were arrested in the Sistan and Baluchestan Province in southeast Iran near the border with Pakistan and Afghanistan. Iranian media did not elaborate on whether or not they were Iranian or foreign citizens.

The Fars News Agency said the three spies were involved in “disseminating classified information and documents.”

From time to time, Iran claims to have caught spies or agents operating in the country on behalf of Israeli or American Intelligence agencies, according to Ynet.

In March, the Iranian Intelligence Ministry in West Azerbaijan claimed that it caught an Israeli spy network in Iran. In July of last year, Iran’s Intelligence Ministry claimed that it had arrested a network of Mossad agents, according to Fars News Agency.

In certain cases, such arrests have resulted in execution. Two years ago, Iran executed a person who was convicted of providing information to the United States, which led to the assassination of the IRGC’s Quds Force commander, Qassem Soleimani.

Israeli media outlets reported on Wednesday that several prominent websites were hit by a cyber attack carried out by an Iranian hacker group named, ALtahrea Team. Israel Airports Authority’s website went down around 9 p.m. local time for a short period as well as websites of Israel’s national broadcaster Kan and Channel 9 news.
