Iran attacks oil tanker linked to Israeli billionaire
A crude oil tanker linked to an Israeli billionaire was allegedly attacked by an Iranian drone off the coast of Oman.
The Campo Square vessel, owned by Zodiac Maritime, was "mildly damaged" by an aerial object on Feb. 10 while traveling in the Arabian Sea between Oman and India.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu blamed Iran for the attack.
"Last week, Iran again attacked an oil tanker in the Persian Gulf and harmed the international freedom of navigation," Netanyahu said during his Cabinet meeting.
"We can confirm that both the vessel and crew are safe and proceeding as per planned passage. There is minor damage to the vessel. We have made the necessary notifications to the relevant authorities," the manager said.
Zodiac Maritime is owned by Israeli billionaire Eyal Ofer.
