Hamas terrorists attack IDF soldiers preparing humanitarian corridor in north Gaza
Hamas terrorists attacked IDF soldiers while they were preparing a road to be used as a humanitarian corridor to enable Gazan citizens to move south, the IDF stated on Saturday.
Earlier in the day, Israel Defense Forces once again announced a 3-hour window to enable movement on Salah al-Din road. “For your safety, take advantage of the next time to move south beyond Wadi Gaza,” the army’s statement to Gazan civilians read.
Hamas terrorists used the opportunity to attack IDF soldiers with mortar fire and anti-tank missiles as they arrived at the site to facilitate the civilian population’s movement.
No IDF soldiers were hurt during the incident.
“This behavior is further evidence that the Hamas terrorist organization is exploiting the residents of the Gaza Strip and preventing them from maintaining their security and moving south,” IDF spokesman in Arabic, Avichay Adraee said.
