Egypt closes last open border crossing with Gaza Strip
Egypt has closed the Rafah Border Crossing with the Gaza Strip, according to Israeli media reports on Tuesday.
The announcement came shortly after an IDF spokesman told international media that everyone in the Gaza Strip who wanted to leave in the face of massive Israeli aerial strikes, should head to the Rafah crossing, which at that time, was still open.
Arab media had reported on Monday that Egypt was already beginning to limit the number of people allowed to enter the country to 2,000 per day before the full closure was announced on Tuesday.
Israel's Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on Monday declared a full siege of the Gaza Strip, including cutting off the electricity and water supply from Israel to Gaza.
