You may have helped fund the Israel Hamas War

It is the most shocking and unconscionable revelation, but according to a lawsuit filed by two American law firms who specialize in civil counter terrorism litigation, the suit alleges that Bashar Masri, a Palestinian-American billionaire may have used the infamous USAID organization, which has recently been on the DOGE chopping block, to help fund “Gazan infrastructure projects to facilitate Hamas tunnel systems.”

That very troubling claim suggests that American tax money, paid by citizens who are against terrorism, antisemitism, corruption and the like, have no say when it comes to the decisions made by anyone who controls the flow of money and where it goes, once it is collected by the government. The absurdity is that, in many cases, ordinary people can actually end up financing their own demise, because, the war on terror is one which, regardless of who is fighting it, is one being waged on behalf of all nations who treasure freedom, democracy and peace.

But, in this case, the allegations point to one man who was in a position to transfer funds to terrorists, through an entity he had set up in 1997 with the help of USAID, and then later using it as a facility which was dedicated to the work of Hamas. Surely no conflict of interest there! Just a Palestinian with American citizenship who was clever enough to game the system by using an American governmental agency to accomplish his goal of helping Hamas terrorists win a war they initiated, after conducting a brutal massacre on Israeli citizens.

Does it get any more despicable than that? The thought of your tax dollars being given to blood-thirsty killers is, perhaps, the most corrupt and twisted act which either attests to a complete and utter failure of government accountability or the opposite. Given all we know about how politicians and government workers enriched themselves over decades, who wouldn’t believe that such a decision to finance terrorism was done with full knowledge and approval?

This lawsuit, which hopes to expose that kind of nefarious and unethical action, is the first ray of hope, on behalf of the American people and freedom lovers worldwide, as the government is held to accountability for allowing supporters of terror to aid and assist the goal of murdering innocents.

These unscrupulous projects, often performed, under the guise of humanitarian aid, don’t usually come to light until after the worst has already been committed. They are either unwittingly facilitated by the misplaced and undeserved mercy of Westerners, who believe they are acting in good faith to help further those they see as victims or, as previously mentioned, they know full well what is being funded and are happy to cooperate, because of their own political agenda.

Either way, the end result has, at least in this case, been the death of thousands, including Israeli citizens, soldiers, those who were kidnapped and even Gazan civilians who may have been the collateral damage in a war their own violent leaders initiated. How unthinkable is it to realize that the blood, now on the hands of those terrorists, was made possible through your hard-earned money?

And what should happen to Masri if these horrific assertions can be proven as fact in a court of law? Should he not be severely punished by losing his coveted American citizenship? Rotting in jail for a few decades might also be a fitting consequence for a man who took solace in the American dream, using it to his advantage to overturn the ideals for which it stands.

If found guilty, Masri should be made an example for all others who might endeavor to follow in his footsteps, thinking that while no one is paying attention, they, too, can exploit the wealth supplied by everyday citizens to cynically finance their aspiration of overturning goodness, replacing it with evil.

It is alleged that Masri helped to “supply tunnel infrastructure with electricity from solar power and green energy infrastructure that were backed by the US, the World Bank and the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency.”

How did we come to discover all of this? One of the named plaintiffs, in the lawsuit, just happens to be a bereaved Israeli father whose son died as a result of the October 7th massacre. It is his contention that concrete evidence was given, revealing that “prominent Palestinian investors raised money” from these agencies in order to assist these projects which were being undertaken by Hamas.

Izhar Shay, the father in question, says that two luxury hotels, which hosted major Hamas events, had also assisted Hamas in their tunnel-building and weapons efforts. As expected, Masri reacted as if these appalling allegations, referring to them as “baseless,” would be easily dismissed as nothing more than a frivolous legal action with no merit. Time will tell if he is correct, but, if so, why would two prominent and well-respected law firms stick their necks out to ultimately ruin their sterling reputation by bringing an inauthentic legal proceeding forward.

Nonetheless, Masri claims to be opposed to violence in every form, advocating for his innocence and rejecting the claim that he had anything to do with such pursuits. Coincidentally, Masri is a member of the Harvard University Kennedy School of Government board. How much more conflicted and incestuous does it get than this?

We are just now beginning to unravel the many tentacles of foreign aid which, together, made it possible for the tragic events of October 7th to take place, with the possibility of leading to what could very easily turn into a global conflict headed by the Iranian regime, assisted by Russia, China, Turkey and other hostile actors, all of whom have a vested interest in taking out both Israel and America, because no one knows how this will all end.

It is a sad day when Americans have to come to the shocking realization that their government is either woefully inept, as it relates to how tax money is being spent and who is being trusted to make life-changing decisions, or, alternatively, whether there are traitors in their midst whose seared conscience allows them to take part in the destruction of nations who have been bastions of freedom and liberty.

Either scenario is beyond belief, but as the Israeli father has so eloquently said, “We can’t go back to a pre-October 7th mindset, where people pretend that it is possible to support economic development in a Gaza controlled by Hamas,” but we can surely hold the facilitators of terrorism to accountability!
