Israel will lead the way in vaccinating children under 12 after the Health Ministry ordered health maintenance organizations to inoculate kids with serious pre-existing conditions in that age group, Channel 12 News reported tonight.
The Health Ministry directive comes despite the fact that trials for the Pfizer injection for anyone under 12 are still underway. Pfizer has not yet requested Emergency Use Authorization from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for the mRNA shot for children under 12. It only plans to submit its request in September, according to a previous statement by the company.
