Rocket fired from Jenin this morning failed to reach Israeli territory, according to IDF
The Israel Defense Forces announced that Palestinians attempted to launch rockets from Jenin this morning.
One rocket reportedly landed in Palestinian territory, while the second rocket failed to launch.
Israeli military forces arrived at the scene shortly after and continue to search for the suspects.
“The rocket did not pose a threat to communities in the area,” read an IDF statement.
A video posted to Telegram by a group called Al-Ayyash Battalion showed one rocket launching before losing control, while the second rocket does not launch.
Palestinians are still attempting to launch crude rockets from the Jenin area at nearby settlements, a video published by the so-called Al-Ayyash Batallion an hour ago shows. Last month, IDF troops found a launcher in the village of Nazlat Zayd. pic.twitter.com/fbCFIyCwJx

Last month, Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) Director Ronen Bar announced that security forces had interrupted an attempt to establish a rocket manufacturing site in Jenin.
Bar called the attempt “a dangerous precedent.”
“We don’t intend to let Afula… become a target for [rocket] fire,” he said at the time, referring to a northern Israeli town within shooting range of the West Bank.
The same Al-Ayyash Battalion group released a video in late May, following Bar’s announcement, which showed an apparent rocket launch attempt.
That launch was also unsuccessful and shortly after the video was posted, the IDF located the launcher west of Jenin and took it in for further investigation.
