All Israel News gathers reactions after historic Abraham Accords signing ceremony between Israel, UAE, Bahrain
U.S. Sen. James Lankford: "A breakout moment for peace" and "a day unlike that we have had in decades"
Sen. James Lankford, R-Okla., told All Israel News that with the signing today of a historic peace agreement between Israel and two Arab nations, Pres. Donald Trump proved his skill at bringing “people to the table.”
“I have heard for years that the president is sloppy in this, but today, when the leadership of Bahrain said, ‘President, you as a statesman are the one that actually got this done,’ I thought it was a very significant moment,” Lankford reflected. “What everyone has tried in the past has not worked, what President Trump did, did work, in bringing everybody together.”
“This is a day that is not like any day that we have had in decades in Israeli and Middle East history, so we’ve had two agreements in decades and decades in Israel’s history,” Lankford said. “Now we’ve had two more just today.”
“To be able to see that and to hear the promise of more coming in the days ahead is a breakout moment for peace and it’s an opportunity that folks in the Middle East and Israel had looked forward to for a very long time.”
Pastor Skip Heitzig: I have been praying for this moment for decades. I pay for the peace of Jerusalem according to Psalms 122.
