Rabbi Leo Dee criticizes Netanyahu for his alleged support of two-state solution
Dee lost his wife and two daughters in a terror attack in April
Rabbi Leo Dee, the man whose wife and two daughters were murdered by Palestinian terrorists in April, criticized Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu earlier this week for his economic policies and alleged support of a two-state solution.
“Thanks to your excellent economic policies, you increased the number of daily workers who leave their homes in the West Bank and work in Jerusalem, Beit Shemesh and Tel Aviv from 50,000 a day to 200,000 a day,” said Dee during his speech at a Knesset Israel Victory Caucus (KIVC) meeting on Wednesday.
“And through this, you created a new and promising reality for Palestinians and Israelis,” he said while claiming that most of the income in Palestinian territories comes from Israel.
The British-Israeli rabbi, who was offered an envoy position to represent global Jewish communities by Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen in May, told the meeting attendees that the “Oslo and the two-state solution” does not much sense and that introducing Palestinians into the Israeli workforce “makes them dependent on their trade with us.”
“So there are no two countries. There are 10 Palestinian cities – actually 10 separate Palestinian states – that could happily be run by their clans, their tribal leaders. And there is no need to pretend that there is actually another country with its own government in Ramallah and its own Fatah army," he continued.
"And there is no longer any need to pretend that there is a two-state solution," Dee said in a pointed statement directed at Netanyahu. "I spoke with foreign ministers and officials from Britain, Europe and the United States recently. They all told me privately, the two-state solution is completely dead. Prime Minister, you are the only person in the world who continues to believe in it!”
Netanyahu has historically been opposed to the creation of a Palestinian state. Amid international pressure, however, he eventually publicly supported the idea in 2009, but with conditions of a guaranteed demilitarization and recognition of the State of Israel as the Jewish homeland.
Dee pressed Netanyahu further during his speech.
“Why do you keep beating a dead horse? Why do you continue to support the Palestinian Authority and Fatah? Today, the Palestinian Authority is responsible for 70% of the terrorist attacks in Israel!”
“Why do the governments of the world insist on continuing to support this regime, and support it with over a billion dollars in annual funding?” Dee asked.
“Their money is currently funding summer camps with posters of the three terrorists who killed my wife and daughters and activities for children to teach them how to stab and shoot Jews in Israel and abroad.”
Dee claimed that the Palestinian Authority's “pay-for-slay” program is “the biggest incentive for terrorism on the planet today. “And you, Bibi, and your government allow it to continue,” he said, calling on the Israeli prime minister by his nickname.
“Please act in accordance with the new reality and stop supporting terrorism in b. And also stop the international governments from funding it. For Lucy, Maya, and Rina. For my remaining children.”
Shortly after the murders of his wife Lucy Dee, 48, and two daughters, Maia and Rina, 15 and 20, during a terrorist shooting attack in April, Dee called on people to commemorate their lives in what became known as "Dees’ Day."
“Today is Dees’ Day, when we can all differentiate between good and bad by sharing a picture with an Israeli flag,” he said. “Let the Israeli flag today send out a message to humanity which is: We will never accept terror as legitimate," he said at the time.
"We will never blame the murder on the victims. There is no such thing as moral equivalence between terrorist and victim. The terrorist is always bad.”
