17:33 - IDF shoots down 3 Hezbollah missiles that triggered hundreds of alarms across central Israel, including Tel Aviv

The IDF shot down three surface-to-surface ballistic missiles launched from Lebanon, and updated that it destroyed the missile launcher used in the attack shortly after.

The attack triggered alarm sirens in over 200 towns in the greater Tel Aviv area, from Hadera and Caesarea in the north all the way to Palmahim in the south.

There were no reports of casualties or damage caused by the attack.

14:34 – Rocket alarms in central and upper Galilee

Red alert sirens activated in a number of communities in the upper and central Galilee, including Karmiel, Deir al-Assad, Lavon, Lapidot, Ba'ana, Majdal Krum, Sakhnin, Ashhar, Arab El Na'im, Yuvalim, and Shorashim.

There were reports of a direct hit on a vehicle in Carmiel, but no reported injuries.

The IDF spokesman later clarified that about 15 launches were identified that crossed into Israeli territory from Lebanon.

Most of the launches were intercepted, and a number of hits were identified in the Karmiel area. There were no casualties in the barrage.

13:30 - IDF shoots down two drones in Syrian air space

The IDF shot down two hostile drones approaching Israel from the east over Syrian territory.

The military said the drones were intercepted before crossing into Israeli air space.

13:05 - IDF releases audio of Gaza resident complaining Hamas prevents them from evacuating

After IDF intelligence indicated that Hamas was attempting to regroup and rebuild its forces in the area of Jabaliya in northern Gaza, the military called on civilians to evacuate to humanitarian zones. Teh 162nd Division is currently operating against Hamas in the area.

Today the IDF released audio of a conversation where a Gazan civilian described how Hamas forces were hitting them with sticks in order to prevent them from evacuating from the area. 

12:20 - First airlines plan return to Israel after EU lifts recommendation to avoid Israeli air space

After the European Union retracted its recommendation to European airlines to avoid Israeli air space, several airlines announces plans to resume their flights to Israel.

Among those are Blue Bird and Air Europa, which said its wants to restart flights to Tel Aviv on October 21, according to Israel Hayom. In addition, Air Seychelles wants to resume operations next week.

Several other airlines that have moved back their return date several times could now plan to return, for example, Air France and Transavia had suspended their flights until October 15. If there are no additional delays, they could return to Israel this week.

11:19 - Rocket alarms across central Israel, including Netanya, Baka al-Gharbiyeh and dozens of other towns

The IDF confirmed that several rockets were fired from Lebanon, and later announced that all of them were shot down successfully.

There were no immediate reports about casualties or damage caused by the attack.

09:31 - Hezbollah fires 10 rockets at Haifa and suburbs

Hezbollah launched 10 rockets at the city of Haifa and several of its suburbs, including Kiryat Yam, Kiryat Haim and Kiryat Shmuel.

The IDF said that most of the rockets were intercepted but several hits were identified. There were no immediate reports about casualties or details about the damage caused by the attack.

09:04 - Four 19-year-old soldiers killed in Hezbollah drone attack: Omri, Yosef, Yoav and Alon 

The IDF released the names of the four soldiers killed in the Hezbollah drone attack last night. Sgt. Omri Tamari, Sgt. Yosef Hieb, Sgt. Yoav Agmon, and Sgt. Alon Amitay, were all 19 years old. The soldiers, who were training as infantry fighters, were killed when a Hezbollah drone struck the dining room at the training base of the Golani Brigade near Binyamina. Eight other soldiers were seriously injured in the incident. A relative of one of the wounded: "They saw terrible sights. The Air Force will have to conduct a thorough investigation, there was a big failure." The chief of staff held a preliminary investigation: "The results are painful.” 

08:01 - Shin Bet Director Ronen Bar met with the Egyptian intelligence director to discuss the hostages

Shin Bet head Ronen Bar visited Cairo on Sunday for a meeting with Egyptian Intelligence Chief Abbas Kamal. According to reports, the two discussed how to resume the hostage deal, as well as differences of opinion between Israel and Egypt regarding the Philadelphi Corridor and the Rafah border crossing.

07:09 - Alarms in Haifa

Air raid sirens were activated in Haifa this morning. There were no reports of impacts or injuries.

04:58 - US Defense Secretary Austin called Gallant after UAV attack

U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin called Defense Minister Yoav Gallant to express his condolences for the IDF soldiers who were killed in the Hezbollah drone attack on the Golani base. According to the Pentagon statement, Austin also reinforced the importance of Israel taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety and security of UNIFIL forces and Lebanese Armed Forces, and the need to pivot from military operations in Lebanon to a diplomatic pathway to protect civilians on both sides of the border as soon as feasible. Austin also talked about the "serious humanitarian situation in Gaza," emphasizing that steps must be taken to address the situation. Secretary Austin also reaffirmed "the deep U.S. commitment to Israel's security."

03:32 - Palestinians report 20 people killed in IDF strike in Gaza Strip

According to Palestinian reports, 20 people were killed and dozens more injured in an IDF strike near a school that became a refugee shelter in Deir al-Balah in the center of the Gaza Strip. "50 people were injured, including children, women, and families," said a civil organization operating in the Gaza Strip. The AFP news agency said the IDF is checking the details of the attack.

02:52 - VP Harris: No food entered Gaza for 2 weeks
Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris posted on her 𝕏 account: "The UN reports that no food has entered northern Gaza in nearly two weeks. Israel must urgently do more to facilitate the flow of aid to those in need. Civilians must be protected and have access to food, water, and medicine. International humanitarian law must be respected."

02:05 - Hezbollah says UAV attack shows only part of their capabilities

After a Hezbollah drone hit the Golani training base, killing four soldiers, the terrorist organization said it "decided to show some of what it is capable of, whenever it chooses and wherever it wants." Explaining how the drone was able to penetrate Israeli air defenses, the spokesman said that "dozens of rockets were fired towards targets in Nahariya and Acre, to activate the air defense systems. Along with the rockets, swarms of drones were launched towards areas in Acre and Haifa. Some of the UAVs were used for the first time. They managed to penetrate the air defense and reached the target."
