16:20 - IDF reservist killed Hezbollah drone attack in southern Lebanon

An IDF reservist was killed and three others were seriously wounded in a Hezbollah drone attack in southern Lebanon this morning, the IDF announced.

The fallen soldier was identified as Sgt. First Class (res.) Omer Moshe Gaeldor (30), of the Golani Brigade’s logistics unit, from Jerusalem.

The IDF said Gaeldor and the other casualties were on a logistics run in southern Lebanon when they were hit by a drone.

15:34 - Israeli forces killed three terrorists in Jenin counterterror raid, confiscated weapons

Forces of the Border Police, Shin Bet and the IDF carried out counterterror raids in the Jenin area last night, according to the IDF.

So far, they killed three terrorists in a fire exchange in Jenin. When Israeli forces tried to arrest a wanted man, terrorists opened fire on them from a building. Using the "pressure cooker" method of escalating fire, the wanted man and two terrorists were eventually killed.

In the building, soldiers found three M-16 rifles and additional military equipment. The wanted man was Raed Hanaisha, formerly jailed for terror activities, and currently wanted for involvement in shooting and bombing attacks against IDF troops.

In other raids, soldiers located three more weapons and destroyed two explosives laboratories and additional explosives buried under the road to harm Israeli forces. "The fighters continue to operate in the area, there are no casualties to our forces," the IDF said.

14:23 - Rocket alarm sirens in Kfar Vradim, Maalot Tarshicha and nearby Upper Galilee towns

Rocket alarm sirens were activated in Kfar Vradim, Maalot Tarshicha, Yanuh-Jat and several other towns in the Upper Galilee. At the same time, a separate alert was triggered in Metula.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or significant damage.

14:20 - New Israeli rain record set today in Zichron Yaakov

Amid an unseasonably cold and rainy day, the Israeli Meteorological Service announced that a new all-time rain record was set today.

In the northern town of Zichron Yaakov, a record-breaking 196 mm of rain was measured falling in only 4 hours in the morning.

13:05 - Israeli soldiers discover massive amounts of Russian arms in Lebanon

During the ground operations in southern Lebanon, Israeli soldiers have repeatedly found large quantities of Russian-made weapons in Hezbollah storehouses, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Among them are modern, recently produced weapons like the Kornet anti-tank missile, which were apparently transferred from Russian stockpiles in Syria.

Some 60-70% of the Hezbollah weapons seized by Israel during the first stages of the ground offensive were produced in Russia, according to the report.

Following earlier drone infiltration alarms in Metula and Kiryat Shmona, the Israeli Air Force said it shot down two hostile drones over Lebanese territory as they made their way toward Israel.

11:12 - Drone alerts triggered in wide areas of upper Galilee as IDF tracks hostile drone

Drone alerts starting in Metula have been gradually broadened across large areas of the upper Galilee region, as the IDF says it is tracking a hostile drone that infiltrated from Lebanon.

So far, interception attempts have seemingly failed.

10:21 - One wounded after 25 rockets were fired at upper and central Galilee

The IDF sent an update stating that about 25 rockets were fired at the upper and central Galilee earlier.

According to Israeli media reports, there were several impacts in the Karmiel area, one of which directly hit a home.

One woman was lightly wounded by shrapnel.

10:17 - Four people injured by glass shards following rocket attack on central Israel

Four people were injured by flying glass shards during the rocket attack on central Israel earlier after the rocket exploded, shattering the windows of the building they were sheltering in, according to Magen David Adom emergency services.

09:52 - Rocket alarm sirens sound in upper and central Galilee, including Maalot Tarshiha, Karmiel and Sakhnin

Rocket alarm sirens were activated across a large area, spanning from Netua and Shtula on the border, all the way to Kafr Manda in the central Galilee region.

09:26 - Two wounded after Hezbollah fired 5 rockets at central Israel, 10 rockets at Upper Galilee earlier

The IDF sent an update stating that during the attack on central Israel earlier, Hezbollah fired five rockets. Two people were treated for light injuries from shrapnel, according to Israeli media.

Several rockets breached air defenses, an issue the IDF stated would be examined.

In addition, the army said that 10 rockets were launched at the area of Sasa in the Upper Galilee, with some being intercepted and the rest falling in open areas.

09:06 - IDF: Woman died in missile attack in Shfaram last night despite being in a shelter

After a missile directly struck a house in the town of Shfaram last evening, killing a woman and wounding ten others, the IDF revealed that the victim had been inside a bomb shelter at the time.

Safaa Awad, a teacher in the majority-Arab town in northern Israel, had entered her shelter according to the instructions of the IDF's Home Front Command, Army Radio reported.

However, the missile, which appeared to have been a relatively heavy and large projectile, directly struck one of the shelter's walls, damaging the structure and trapping Awad, who later succumbed to her wounds.

09:02 - IDF conducts counterterror raid in Jenin, Samaria

Israeli forces began an overnight raid in the Jenin refugee camp and a nearby village, which was still ongoing at the time of publication.

According to Army Radio, forces of the Haruv commando and the Border Police killed several terrorists in a firefight.

The Haruv commando was actively deployed in Lebanon a few days ago before being transferred to Judea and Samaria (West Bank).

08:58 - Rocket attack targets Netanya, Herzliya and other towns in central Israel

Rocket alarm sirens were activated in Netanya, Herzliya, Kfar Saba, Hadera, Ra'anana, and several other towns in the center of the country.

The IDF only confirmed one or several projectiles were launched from Lebanon.

08:53 - Overnight rocket attacks hit the areas of Kiryat Shmona and Arab al-Aramsheh

In overnight rocket attacks, Hezbollah targeted the surroundings of Kiryat Shmona shortly after midnight, as well as the area of Arab al-Aramsheh early in the morning.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
