Can the world really afford to hate Jews?

When you consider that we live in a world which is totally reliant on technological advancement, is Jew-hatred really to anyone’s advantage?
It’s actually a rhetorical question, because the answer is a resounding no. The great irony is that there isn’t a nation on the face of the earth which is in the forefront of ingenuity and innovation more than Israel. When you think about it, perhaps it’s easier to ask, “What have Israelis not invented or created?”
Leading in just about every field imaginable – everything from semiconductors to high-speed networking, scientific research, PillCam Imaging, Rewalk Robotics which allows paraplegics to stand and walk, drip irrigation used in agriculture, cyber technology against threats, cloud services, Waze navigational system, Iron Dome and David’s Sling defense systems and so much more, the entire world is profiting from their know-how and creativity on every level.
As of 2018, there were more than 5,000 Israeli start-up companies. Today, that number is even greater. But that’s not odd, given that “Israel is home to the highest number of engineers per capita and has the world’s second highest R&D expenditure, with an investment of about 4.1% of its GDP – the average number being 2% among the OECD.”
You may ask, “How does all that Jewish ingenuity help the world?” Each one of these amazing technologies, created in Israel, is used to better the lives of most everyone. And that’s evidenced by the many markets worldwide who receive the benefit of those exports, including the U.S., Europe, Asia and the Middle East. “According to Israeli data, Russia is the second largest market for agriculture products after the EU with 130 kinds of vegetables, fruits, olive oil and honey.” Additionally, Israel is the “fifth largest arms exporter in the world, with $13 billion worth of arms sold in 2023 alone.”
This is only a fraction of what Israeli technological advancement is offering the world, so it’s a wonder, and frankly, a mystery, that anyone who values their life would believe that an Israel-free planet would be an improvement to the whole of humanity.
In a recent podcast American historian, Victor Davis Hanson said that, with the exception of Al Qaeda, the terror group Hezbollah has been responsible for killing more Americans than anyone else, but, thanks to Israeli technology, those same terrorists are now afraid to answer their cell phones or turn on their television sets. He points out that they’re not even safe in their concrete bunkers, 60 feet below the earth, due to Israel’s ability to target them even there, as was done with Hezbollah leader, Hasan Nasrallah.
VDS attributes this to Israel’s ingenuity, competence and audacity. He says there is real admiration for what they’ve been able to pull off over the past 17 months. In fact, he states that many countries in Europe and Asia, feel that Israel is actually doing the world a favor by neutering all of these terror groups – Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis, knowing that each one of them is in range of Iranian missiles. While it’s unfortunate that they do not express that openly, they are, nonetheless, aware that the moment Iran succeeds in getting nuclear capabilities, everyone in Europe will be under constant threat by that hostile regime.
Consequently, when Davis Hanson observes what Israel has done, he sees them as a sort of template for the rest of the world, taking on this giant behemoth as they provide an example to all other countries that their moral and technological superiority will aid everyone in this fight against an anti-civilization cluster of people. It is this type of courage, which he claims Israel is currently demonstrating, thus strengthening all those who need to be encouraged to also take up the fight against the world’s greatest bullies who are the great perpetrators of evil in our time.
From that point of view, Israel is portrayed as an inspiring warrior, willing to go into battle, not only for her own existential benefit but also for everyone else who is far less equipped as well as lacking that kind of gumption and audacity to fight what is seen as a fearsome enemy.
Few have the will or the technological weapons to take on those whose goal is world domination. Yet, if it were up to all of the campus protesters and other ignorant antisemites, who have probably had no real exposure to the amazing accomplishments of Israelis, so many of which have greatly benefitted the world, they would be happy to see the Jewish nation totally erased from the map, along with the disappearance of the rest of the Jews who are scattered throughout the world.
Without realizing how that would impact each one of them personally, they would foolishly forego future medical cures, the development of advanced technologies and weapons, their scientific know-how, agricultural successes, and even the greatest humor the world has ever known. Yes, all of these breakthroughs, talents and enjoyment have come, courtesy of the Jewish people, enhancing our daily lives in ways that are too vast to enumerate.
Sadly, when people are massively invested in the type of hatred which blinds them to what is actually in their best interest, they are capable of missing the very obvious contributions and gifts, with which God has endowed them, through the people He created to bless the world in every way possible.
Wedded to their own prejudices, bigotry and false assumptions, usually based upon the manufactured smears and lies, which are promulgated by those who despise the Jewish people, this chunk of humanity misses out on what was also intended to benefit them. It is that kind of delusional mindset which prefers to injure itself, even to its own demise, as the enemies of Western civilization seek to destroy it. Although hard to fathom, we, nonetheless, are watching it spread each day, all to the detriment of civilized society.
But as world events continue to unfold, it’s almost predictable that, in time, most everyone will see that the support being provided by Israel, to each country, will become irreplaceable, making people sit up and take notice.
Who knows, there could finally be the realization that without Israel, life would be intolerable and filled with danger at every corner. That just may be the moment that there is an open admission by beleaguered nations who will finally come to the undeniable conclusion that the world truly cannot afford to hate the Jews!
