Israeli swimmer wins second gold medal in paralympic world championships
Paralympic swimmer Ami Dadaon won his second gold medal in the mixed 150-meter race at the Allianz Para Swimming World Championships in Great Britain on Wednesday.
The day before, Dadaon broke the world record in the men's 100-meter freestyle and earned his first gold medal.
This is the third medal for the Israeli team after Ronika Giranko won a bronze medal in the 50-meter breaststroke competition.
Para-swimming is open to male and female athletes in all eligible impairment groups who compete in backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, freestyle, medley and relay events.
The championships are taking place at the Manchester Aquatics Center until Aug. 6.
