Israel says Iran attempted a terror attack against Israelis in Cyprus
Israel said an assassination attempt on billionaire Teddy Sagi in Cyprus was actually Iranian terrorism against Israeli businessmen.
Prime Minister Naftali Bennett’s office put out a statement today saying that Sagi wasn’t the intended target, or at least not the only one.
"As opposed to some of the reports yesterday regarding an incident in Cyprus, I can clarify on behalf of the security establishment, that this was an act of terror that was orchestrated by Iran against Israeli businesspeople living in Cyprus," the statement said.
"This is not a criminal act and the Israeli businessman Teddy Sagi was not the target of the attack."
