Iran threatens Israel with unveiling of new drone

With assistance from North Korea, Iran has emerged as an important player in the global drone market

The Iranian ayatollah regime threatened Israel on Tuesday in Hebrew writing, announcing a new drone and calling Israelis to 'prepare their shelters.'

The new Iranian Mohajer (Farsi for immigrant) drone can reportedly remain operational for 24 hours, similar to the American MQ-9 Reaper.

The new drone is capable of flying the over 1,000-mile distance that separates Iran from the Jewish state and allegedly has a reported speed of 130 mph. In addition, Iran's new drone can reportedly carry a bomb load of 660 pounds and is equipped with advanced surveillance technology.

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi presented the drone as evidence of Iran’s advanced technological capabilities.

“Today, we can firmly introduce Iran as an advanced and technologic nation to the world,” Raisi claimed.

With assistance from North Korea, Iran has emerged as an important player in the global drone market and has reportedly copied American technologies from downed U.S. drones.

While Russia is regarded as a military world power, it is lagging behind the West in several military technologies, including unmanned vehicles.

In November 2022, after initial denials, the Iranian regime finally admitted it had provided drones to the Russian war effort in Ukraine. Since then, Moscow and Tehran have increased their military cooperation and Tehran has agreed to set up drone manufacturing facilities in Russia.

In early August, Iran and the pro-Russian Belarus regime signed several agreements to increase military cooperation between the two countries along similar lines as Iranian-Russian cooperation.

Washington believes Iran has already provided Moscow with at least 400 drones that have been used frequently against Ukraine, however, the Ukrainian government believes the real number to be over 1,000.

While Iranian drone technology is considered a growing threat in the Middle East and Europe, Israeli drones are believed to be more advanced than Iran's.

Israel has successfully shot down several Iranian drones that tried to penetrate Israeli airspace from Syria, according to reports.
