High Court annuls petition against illegal Homesh outpost
The High Court of Justice on Wednesday voted to annul a petition from the Yesh Din (There is Justice), an Israeli human rights organization, requesting the evacuation of the illegal Homesh settlement in Judea and Samaria.
The Court previously ruled that the settlement must be evacuated because it was built on privately-owned Palestinian land.
Jewish settlement activists recently moved several buildings from the Palestinian private land to property controlled by the Israeli military. The High Court ruled that this removal from the Palestinian land resulted in "a change in the factual status," thus fulfilling the demands of the Palestinian landowners in the original petition.
The High Court did not rule on the legality of the new location.
