Hamas bombs its own people as they flee northern Gaza, expert video analyst reveals
Terror group leader Ismail Haniyeh said Gazans would not ‘abandon their homes’
Israel Defense Forces reported that the Hamas terror group has been preventing Gazans from fleeing the northern Gaza Strip and shared photos of roadblocks along the evacuation routes.
The IDF warned residents of northern Gaza to leave, dropping leaflets in Arabic with instructions to move south, as well as broadcasting messages via radio and via text messages.
On Sunday morning, the IDF released an audio recording [Arabic with Hebrew subtitles] of a phone call with a resident of Jabalia in Gaza who explained that Hamas confiscated personal equipment and car keys from the people he was with in a protective shelter.
“They’re preventing people from leaving,” said the resident of Jabalia.
“Tell me exactly, where is the point that they are stopping you,” the IDF commander asked the resident.
“Next to the agency,” the resident said. “They take the ID cards and the keys to the cars.”
“So, you’re saying this action is from Hamas?” the IDF commander asked. “Who is stopping you, Hamas?”
“Yes, yes,” the resident responded.
“Hamas is making it difficult for the residents of the Gaza Strip to move on main roads, and prevents the passage of vehicles on these roads,” the IDF reported.

In a press conference, IDF Spokesman Brig.-Gen. Daniel Hagari said reported: “We see an active effort by Hamas to block and prevent the population from going south. Hamas wants to show the world that it has casualties and dead.”
The IDF's official X channel (formerly Twitter) posted a photo of one such roadblock from drone footage with the words: “This is real. Hamas is forcefully preventing their civilians from relocating to southern Gaza for their own safety.”

Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh said on Saturday that there will be no evacuation from Gaza.
“We will continue our struggle until our state is established, our captives and sacred places are liberated, and our displaced people return to their homes,” Haniyeh said in a televised speech on Saturday.
Haniyeh also repeated false propaganda by saying that Hamas does not target civilians.
“We repeat that we do not target civilians, either adults or children,” Haniyeh claimed.
The terror organization released videos taken by its terror operatives showing them shooting unarmed civilians.
Israel also showed captured documents from the Hamas organization instructing its terrorists to kill and capture civilians, especially women and children.
British-Bahraini Strategic Affairs analyst Amjad Taha shared a video on X showing an improvised explosive device detonating on the evacuation route used by Gazans fleeing the northern Gaza Strip.
“Breaking: Video experts' investigation reveals that today, Hamas bombed people on the evacuation route in Gaza. The explosion was caused by a homemade Hamas IED, designed to falsely implicate Israel and intimidate those following instructions, using them as human shields,” Taha tweeted.

IDF's Arabic Spokesman Avichay Adraee announced Sunday morning that the IDF would open another evacuation corridor from 10 a.m to 1 p.m.
On Friday, Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Gallant called on Gazans "who want to save their lives" to heed Israel’s evacuation order.
Israel has also accused Hamas of using innocent Gazan civilians as human shields, an international war crime.
