Gallant visits northern border, warns Nasrallah: ‘Don’t make a mistake’
Defense Minister Yoav Gallant toured the Israel Defense Forces post at Har Dov near the Lebanon border on Tuesday.
During the visit, Gallant was updated on the latest developments at the border, including the construction of a security barrier.
Gallant also issued a warning to Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.
“I warn Hezbollah, Nasrallah, not to make a mistake,” Gallant said. “You've made mistakes in the past, you've paid very heavy prices. If, God forbid, an escalation or confrontation develops here, we will return Lebanon to the Stone Age. We will not hesitate to use all our might and erode every meter of Hezbollah and Lebanon if necessary.”
Tensions are rising on Israel's northern border with Lebanon.
The Islamist militant group leader issued a warning a little over a week ago: “I say to the Zionists: ‘Beware of any stupid step or decisions of one kind or another, the resistance does not take its responsibility for responding and liberating lands, lightly."
