Yad Vashem chairman heads to US for ‘Journey of Dialogue’ with faculty, students at US colleges

The Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial Museum announced that its chairman, Dani Dayan, is traveling to the United States to speak to university presidents and representatives of Jewish student associations at college campuses about the rise in incidents of antisemitism.

Dayan is expected to visit the campuses of New York University (NYU), Columbia University, University of Pennsylvania (Penn), Queens College and Yeshiva University.

While in the U.S., Dayan will participate in an event with Holocaust survivors in Brooklyn, New York.

“At Yad Vashem, we stand firm in our commitment to commemorate the Holocaust and educate future generations about its horrors. The alarming rise in antisemitism and targeted attacks against Jewish students and professors compels us to transcend borders and connect with Jewish communities in the diaspora,” Dayan said.

“By traveling to the United States, we hope to foster a profound sense of unity within the Jewish people, reminding us of the vital strength and unwavering resilience found in solidarity during the darkest times. Together, we can combat hatred and ensure that the lessons of history remain steadfast in our collective memory.”
