Weapons collection and 400,000 shekels found by IDF soldiers during training exercise
During an Israel Defense Forces training exercise near the city of Arad, soldiers noticed a suspicious vehicle.
Upon investigating the vehicle, they found several weapons, several hundred rounds of ammunition and 400,000 shekels (more than $105,000).
The Arad police were called to seize the vehicle. The weapons and ammunition were taken for further investigation.
No suspects have been identified yet.
The seized weapons included an M-16 rifle, a pistol, 9 magazines for the M-16 rifle, two fully loaded (990 rounds each) ammo canisters with 5.56 bullets, a third canister with bullets, and weapons accessories.
