UAE to set up field hospital in Gaza Strip
The United Arab Emirates will set up a field hospital inside the Gaza Strip, Israeli media reported.
According to reports, the hospital will include some 150 beds, a surgery department and intensive care units for the wounded.
The move is being coordinated with the Israeli government and is already underway, as five planes carrying the necessary equipment left Abu Dhabi for Arish in northern Egypt on Monday.
The equipment is expected to enter Gaza via northern Egypt through the Rafah border crossing, possibly as soon as over the next two days.
The UAE field hospital has been approved for a specific location in the southern Gaza Strip where Israel has designated a humanitarian space in cooperation with the Israeli military.
