Stabbing attack in Old City injures 3 near Jaffa Gate

A 50-year-old man was seriously wounded and two others sustained minor injuries in a stabbing attack near the Jaffa Gate in Jerusalem on Wednesday.
According to Israel Police, the 17-year-old terrorist, reportedly a resident of East Jerusalem, stabbed several people with a butcher knife on the Jaffa Gate promenade, before fleeing the scene.
He was apprehended a short time later by police who made the arrest and took him in for questioning.
Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics arrived at the scene and tended to the wounded before evacuating them to Jerusalem's Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital.
Hamas spokesperson Muhammad Hamada praised the stabbing attack in Jerusalem, calling it "a natural response to the crimes of the Israeli occupation that proves that our people are not silent in the face of aggression."
This is a developing story.
