Ryanair resumes flights to Tel Aviv as international airlines return to Israel
The British airline Ryanair has announced it will resume some of its flights to and from Israel on Feb. 1, citing the return of other airlines and guidance by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency.
Ryanair will begin with a reduced flight schedule, including its routes to and from Milan (Italy), Vienna (Austria), Marseilles (France), and Karlsruhe/Baden Baden and Memmingen (Germany).
After canceling most flights to and from Israel in the wake of the war in Gaza, airlines including Air France, Lufthansa, Swiss, Austrian, Aegean, Bulgarian Air, and more have announced they are resuming flights this month.
Over the last months, only the Israeli airline company El Al, Arkia and Israir, as well as a handful of other airlines like Ethiopian Airlines, Etihad Airways and flyDubai, have continued flights to Israel.
