Protesters try to block Israel's justice minister from leaving his home, six arrested
Six people were arrested as dozens demonstrated against the judicial reform outside the house of Justice Minister Yariv Levin in Modi’in on Monday morning, according to the Israel Police.
Clashes erupted between police and protesters who formed a ‘human wall’ around Levin’s house in order to prevent him from leaving. Six people were arrested for disturbing public order.
Yaron Kramer, a leader from one of the Brothers in Arms protest group told local N12 news, “We blocked the exit from the parking lot and the security guards rescued Levin through the other entrance.”
Videos showed Levin’s car being escorted by police and security guards through the crowd of protesters.
