Israeli hostages Itai Svirsky and Yossi Sharabi killed in Hamas captivity
Itai Svirsky and Yossi Sharabi were confirmed to have been murdered in Hamas captivity and their families were informed of their deaths, Kibbutz Be’eri announced on Tuesday evening.
Svirsky and Sharabi were featured in a propaganda video released by Hamas on Monday, in which the terrorists claimed that the two hostages had been killed by IDF airstrikes.
The IDF rejected the accusation at the time but stated that there was “grave concern regarding their fates.” One day later, Kibbutz Be’eri announced that their families were informed that their deaths were confirmed.
“Their bodies are in the hands of Hamas, we demand their return with the rest of our abductees. Our hearts are with the families in their immense pain. May they rest in peace,” the statement read.
