Israeli military forces entered the Gaza Strip for the 2nd time in 48 hours

IDF troops conducted raids in the Gaza Strip on Thursday night for the second time in 48 hours that forces entered the Gaza Strip.

The forces entered more than half a mile from the border line, destroying terrorist infrastructure and eliminating terrorists. According to an officer in the Southern Command, the raid was in preparation for the ground invasion.

“The forces entered under the cover of artillery and significant air power," he said. "They uncovered explosive devices and terror cells that were hiding underground and in buildings.”

The officer said the operation was designed to practice coordination between ground forces and the air force.

Another senior official said the pressure on Hamas increases each day.

“This is reflected in the elimination of commanders, operatives and the destruction of military and civilian infrastructure,” he explained.

“Every day there are more Palestinians who leave the north and center of the Gaza Strip and reduce the human shield of the Hamas leadership – even though the organization's operatives threaten civilians, stop them at checkpoints and do not hesitate to shoot.”
