IDF detects increase in failed rocket launches as Hamas continues firing from civilian areas
Israel Defense Forces have detected an increasing trend in failed rocket launches from the Gaza Strip due to its current war with Hamas, the IDF stated on Wednesday.
In its statement, the IDF provided an infographic that, according to its data, showed the ratio of failed rocket launches was around 5% at the beginning of the war but had reached over 12% on Tuesday.
Hamas claimed that an Israeli airstrike had hit a Gaza hospital, killing hundreds on Tuesday evening.
The IDF denied the claim that it was responsible for the explosion and later published data showing that the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) terror group fired the rocket that fell short and hit the hospital.
Israel Defense Forces stressed that Hamas and other terror organizations in the Gaza Strip continued firing rockets from inside densely populated civilian areas, including from compounds located next to hospitals, UN schools, mosques, restaurants, diplomatic buildings and hotels.
