IDF currently operating in Jenin – PA reports one terrorist killed in firefight
Israel Defense Forces announced on Tuesday evening that security forces are currently conducting an operation in the Jenin refugee camp.
According to Palestinian social media reports, the IDF has surrounded one house in the Jenin refugee camp where a firefight has ensued.
Shots were fired at IDF troops from a mosque and several improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were thrown at the IDF and security forces.
The IDF confirmed that military forces are using a “pressure cooker” procedure in an attempt to apprehend the wanted suspect whom Palestinian sources have allegedly identified as Muhammad Abu al-Bahaa, the leader of the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade in Jenin.
Palestinian sources have reported the elimination of one terrorist during the firefight, which left another 10 people injured.
The IDF reportedly used a Maoz suicide drone to attack a group of armed terrorists who were shooting at forces.
Palestinian sources reported that a second terrorist was killed during fighting.
