2 Israelis wounded in shooting attack near Huwara

Two Israelis were lightly wounded in a shooting attack on Route 60 near the town of Huwara on Tuesday night.

The two individuals were traveling by car when their windshield was shattered by bullets that were fired at their vehicle. The two passengers were not directly hit by the bullets, however, were mildly wounds by the glass shrapnel.

Israel Defense Forces closed roads in the area and established roadblocks on routes leading from the site.
The two injured individuals were evacuated by IDF and Magen David Adom medics who arrived at the scene.

Samaria Council head Yossi Dagan, who happened to be traveling in the area of the wounded, blamed the government for not doing more to secure the site of several attacks this year.

"I stand here and I say to the prime minister, I tell the defense minister and I say to all the ministers: This is your responsibility; it is in your hands; you are responsible for the fact that Jews are shot here again and again in the center of the State of Israel."
