Does America really want Israel to win?
It was just a few days ago that Larry Summers, former U.S. Secretary of Treasury, appeared on “The Story” with Martha MacCallum. Speaking about the $2 billion, that Elon Musk promised to cut from the budget, if Trump were to win the election, he cynically asked, “Would he reduce Social Security or Medicare?”
Of course, those two crucial programs are often used by Democrats, who know just how popular they are and score points each time they accuse Republicans of wanting to take an axe to them, while casting themselves as the protectors of these safeguards. This show, viewed by a friend of mine, caused her to ask how Musk could, indeed, make such a promise, also believing there was no spending that could be cut.
For those of us who follow the minutia of the news, the legendary stories of wasteful spending are well known. Take the absurd study of “shrimp on a treadmill, paid for by taxpayer money.” This ridiculous research project, received a whopping $3 million worth of grants, in the hope of discovering “impaired metabolism and performance in crustaceans exposed to bacteria.”
Not an anomaly, this is just one glaring example of wasteful spending among a sea of others, the worst being climate change. According to www.state.gov, the progress report on President Biden’s Climate Finance Pledge, dated December 2, 2023, “committed to work with Congress to scale up international public finance to over $11 billion annually by 2024, quadrupling from the highest previous levels of climate finance provided by the U.S.”
If you think that’s excessive, wait until 2025 when the budget will increase to $27 billion “for climate programs across various US agencies and includes funding for international climate finance initiatives.”
Does anyone really believe that this massive amount of money will make any difference in the weather? What we do know is that this multi-million-dollar industry has made a lot of people and organizations very rich. Best stated by the Heritage Foundation, they write, “How big is the Climate Change Industrial Complex today? Surprisingly, no one seems to be keeping track of all the channels of funding. A few years ago, Forbes magazine went through the federal budget and estimated about $150 billion in spending on climate change and green energy subsidies during President Obama’s first term.”
Has anything changed as a result of so much money being devoted to the cause? Absolutely not! Occasional catastrophic weather events still cannot be controlled, and, contrary to what we’re told, they do not qualify as an existential to mankind. But here’s something that does impact all of humanity – the rapidly moving storm of radical Islamic terrorism whose blustering gale force winds destroy everything and everyone in its path.
The real danger of our time doesn’t even seem to be recognized or acknowledged by people who are looking elsewhere, at a manufactured crisis, in order get in on the windfall being siphoned off from taxpayer dollars, enriching those who bemoan the loudest about an unrepairable condition.
While all this is going on, there is another force at work, doing its utmost to rid the world of our greatest peril – a demonic ideology whose endgame is to place all people in subservience to the mullahs and imams that demand total allegiance and the willingness to be martyred for the sake of Allah.
Those warriors, known as the Israel Defense Forces are feverishly working, around the clock, to extinguish those who spent the last 20 years plotting and preparing for their takeover of the northern and southern communities of Israel, as they stockpiled goods that would enable them to stay in those areas indefinitely.
This Hezbollah plan, dubbed “Conquest of the Galilee,” utilized an underground shaft which hid “thousands of weapons, launchers and tactical equipment belonging to the fighters of Hezbollah’s elite force in the village. The terrorists would then emerge from the shaft opening, only a few minutes’ walk from the border wall. Just on the other side is a residential neighborhood of Metula. They would have entered and killed and done all the unbearable things that were done on October 7 in the south.”
The plan literally was to attack Israel from the north and the south, eventually making good on the promise, “From the river to the sea” by fully conquering the Jewish homeland. But that would have been the first of many, in a long line of conquests they hoped to achieve.
If you viewed the clip embedded in my recent article titled, “Warning to America, your days of freedom are numbered, you know that there is a carefully orchestrated global initiative, flooding every country on the face of the earth with jihadists. Their goal - to overtake the freedoms and liberty, under which civilized countries operate, turning them into oppressed radical Islamic enclaves.
While most would consider joining the fight, against this insidious planned takeover, as worthy, some nations have, conversely, chosen to abandon Israel by cutting her off through weapons sales. That includes Spain whose recent decision was to “cancel $7 million of arms purchases from Israel” as well as Britain which “suspended 30 arms licenses, after stating that Israel is an occupying power.” Canada has also suspended 30 permits from arm shipments to Israel as has France, ceasing to transfer arms to Israel.
It's almost as if no one really believes there is an existential threat, staring them in the face, poised and highly motivated to go to battle for world dominance.
It was back in 1948, when Golda Meir was sent by Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion to the U.S. to recruit needed funds for the war that was being fought. In that Chicago address, which successfully raised $50 million, she made an impassioned plea, stating, “You cannot decide whether we should fight or not. We will! That decision is taken, but you can decide whether shall be victorious in this fight or whether the mufti will be victorious.”
America needs to hear those same words, because, as Golda Meir also said, “The time is now.” Israel is engaged in a bitter war which must be won in order to save the rest of humanity from having to fight it. $2 billion is but a drop in the bucket of the bloated and wasteful climate change frivolity.
The question is – does America really want Israel to win this battle?
