Shalom. I'm Oriel and welcome to our ALL ISRAEL prayer points.
As we gather to pray for Israel and the Jewish people, let's focus on the critical events shaping the region this week.
Before we dive into our prayer focuses, let's reflect on Psalm 33:20-22: "We wait in hope for the Lord. He is our help and our shield. In Him, our hearts rejoice, for we trust in His holy name."
May your unfailing love be with us, Lord, even as we put our hope in You.
We start with Hezbollah's thwarted attack and Israel's response.
The IDF struck approximately 270 targets across 40 sites in Lebanon, destroying thousands of rocket launchers.
Alarmingly, 90% of those launchers were positioned near civilian areas.
Despite this pre-emptive strike, Hezbollah still managed to launch about 230 rockets and over 20 drones towards Israel. Let's pray:
For divine protection over Israeli civilians in the north
Wisdom for military leaders and strategic decision-making
Safety for Lebanese civilians used as human shields by Hezbollah
Peace and de-escalation of conflict in the region
Next, we have incredible news of a successful hostage rescue in a daring operation.
IDF and Shin Bet forces liberated Qaid Farhan al-Qadi from Hamas captivity in Gaza.
This marks the first rescue from an underground tunnel. Let's lift up prayers:
Thanksgiving for al-Qadi's safe return
Healing and recovery for al-Qadi and his family
Success in future rescue attempts for the remaining 108 hostages
Protection and guidance for IDF soldiers in these perilous missions
Moving on to regional stability and diplomacy, we are seeing ongoing efforts to maintain peace.
The U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman's visit to Israel proceeded as planned, demonstrating continued support. Let's intercede for:
Effective communication between Israel and its allies
Wisdom for international leaders involved in the region
Success of peace initiatives and diplomatic efforts
Protection against further escalation of tensions
As we conclude, let us remember Psalm 121: "For he who watches over Israel will neither sleep nor slumber."
Our God is faithful and hears our prayers.
May He continue to stand in the gap for Israel, for the Jewish people, and for peace in the Middle East.
