Is Jordan the most important missing piece in Iran's strategy in the Middle East?

Jordanian fighter jets helped shoot down Iranian drones crossing its airspace in the attacks on Israel between 13-14 April. The Jordanian government has resisted attempts to draw it into the Iranian Axis over the years, however, the opinion on the Jordanian street is a different story.

Many Jordanians consider themselves Palestinians, or at least Palestinian descendants. Since October 7, there has been a strong protest movement on behalf of Hamas and the Palestinians in Gaza. At the same time, Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran are trying to inflame the Jordanian street against King Abdullah II and Israel.

Take a look at how Iran hopes to build an “Iranian Crescent” to isolate and threaten Israel, and why Jordan is possibly the most important missing piece in that strategy.
