Children from Kibbutz Be’eri recently sat down with Keshet 12 to share their experiences following the October 7 massacre, in which at least 100 people from Be’eri were killed. They described hours of waiting in sheltered rooms, hearing gunshots and shouts in Arabic, and learning that family members and friends had been killed. “At a certain point, I told myself, ‘It’s a nightmare, I’ll pinch myself, slap myself, and I’ll wake up.’ I did, but it didn’t help.” “I simply understood, that’s it, it’s over. I began to write friends, ‘It was fun, goodbye.’”
