Among the fifth group of released hostages from Hamas captivity on Tuesday was 75-year-old Ada Sagi from Kibbutz Nir Oz.
She was kidnapped from her home on the kibbutz without the medication she takes regularly.
Sagi grew up in Tel Aviv and moved to Nir Oz as a part of an army program, where she made her home with her husband, who died about a year ago.
She is a mother of three and a grandmother of six, and was supposed to visit her son who lives in London to celebrate her birthday.
She is a retired teacher and educator, who currently works in receiving new families to the kibbutz. She also holds Argentine citizenship.
According to her daughter, Navit Sela, "she is a good woman and good mother. On Oct. 12, she was supposed to go to London to celebrate her 75th birthday there. She was kidnapped when she was injured and without her pills."
In a radio interview with Reshet Bet about a month ago, she said: "Mom is indeed 75 years old, but she's not weak. There was a fight there. I received information from journalists, friends and my partner who were there. If someone professional had gone into the house, I might know more. I cannot think of visiting there now."
