Trigger alert – The video below contains graphic content that may be disturbing for some viewers.

The families of Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Or Levy, and Eliya Cohen green-lit the publication of new footage of their kidnapping by Hamas terrorists on Oct. 7, releasing a 1:37 minute-long video on Monday evening.

The three were celebrating at the Nova Music Festival near Kibbutz Re’im when the Hamas invasion began. After they hid in a nearby rocket shelter together with about 29 people, Hamas terrorists found them and began lobbing grenades into the shelter.

In the same shelter, Aner Shapira paid for his life after heroically throwing several grenades back out before finally being killed. Shortly after, Goldberg-Polin’s arm was blown off at the elbow by another grenade.

Until now, two videos showing the events from outside the shelter have been released.

On Monday evening, the families decided to publish a third video, edited and partially blurred, showing the three being led to a Hamas pick-up truck, before being shoved in the flatbed and driven to Gaza as the terrorists shouted “Allahu Akbar” (Allah is the greatest) and fired shots into the sky.

The footage also shows the terrorists taunting Goldberg-Polin with his bleeding stump, pulling his hair and calling to take selfie pictures with him.

“The harsh video is a serious indictment of the neglect that has been going on for 262 days,” the Hostages Forum said in a statement.

“Hersh, Eliya and Or were kidnapped alive and so they have to return, today. Every day that passes endangers the hostages and may torpedo the ability to bring them home.”

“After almost 9 months of fighting and in view of the recent operational successes, it is clear to everyone that the return of all 120 abductees is only possible through a deal. We must approve and implement the deal that will bring all the abductees home, the living for rehabilitation and the victims and the murdered for burial,” the statement read.

After the video was published, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated: “The appalling video of the kidnapping of Hersh, Or, and Eliya breaks all our hearts and emphasizes once again the cruelty of the enemy we swore to eliminate. We will not stop the war until we return all 120 of our loved ones home.”

Also on Monday, the IDF announced that a soldier thought to have been kidnapped has now been declared dead, raising the estimated number of hostages presumed dead to 45.

The soldier was identified as Sgt.-Maj. Muhammad El Atrash (39), from the Bedouin community of Sa’wa in the Negev Desert.

El Atrash served as a tracker in the Gaza Division’s Northern Brigade and was killed during the fighting on Oct. 7.

His body was then taken hostage to Gaza. While at first thought to be kidnapped alive, the IDF declared his death based on findings and recent intelligence.
