To mark one year since the deadly Oct. 7 Hamas massacres in southern Israel, the IDF created an exhibition, displaying many of the items seized from Hamas terrorists who invaded Israel on Oct. 7, as well as items retrieved by Israel Defense Forces during the last year of combat in the Gaza Strip.

The exhibit aims to showcase the various items and includes vehicles – pickup trucks, motorcycles, tractors – and equipment used by the terrorists to infiltrate Israel. Hamas military uniforms and intelligence documents will also be on display, as well as many weapons used by Hamas terrorists, such as anti-tank missiles, RPG rockets, missiles, explosives, and UAVs.

Since the beginning of the Gaza War, the Enemy Assets Confiscation Unit has confiscated approximately 70,000 items of enemy equipment, including around 1,250 anti-tank missiles and RPGs, as well as some 4,500 explosive devices.

The exhibition is open to diplomats, representatives from international research institutes and the press.

Shortly after the start of the Gaza War, the IDF announced the discovery of a large cache of Hamas weapons seized by soldiers while searching the various communities and locations where the massacres took place.

At the time, the military noted that the large amount of supplies found on some of the dead Hamas terrorists suggested the group had planned for a larger and more prolonged operation.

The weapons on display include a mix of smuggled items brought into the Gaza Strip, along with locally produced IEDs and rockets.

Throughout the war, the IDF has regularly discovered weapons caches hidden in civilian buildings throughout the Gaza Strip, including IEDs, rifles, RPGs, and other military items.

Underground weapons production facilities were also uncovered.

The current exhibit showcases a selection of those findings, aimed at illustrating the extent of preparation Hamas undertook for the attacks and the ensuing war.

The display was organized by the Technological and Logistics Directorate, led by the Enemy Assets Confiscation Unit, at a dedicated site in Camp Yadin ("Tzrifin"). This unit, primarily composed of reservists, is responsible for locating, documenting, and collecting enemy weapons, including those featured in the exhibition. The unit operates across all areas of combat activity in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon, gathering enemy weapons and assets.
