Iron Dome intercepts drone that infiltrated from Lebanon over sea near northern city of Acre
The Iron Dome aerial defense system shot down a drone over the Mediterranean Sea near Israel's northern city of Acre, or Akko, after it infiltrated from Lebanon, the IDF stated on Monday afternoon.
Alarm sirens that sounded in Ein Hamifratz and Kfar Masaryk were activated because of the Iron Dome missile defense system and not because of a concrete threat to the residents, according to the Times of Israel.
Almost at the same time, the IDF also intercepted two Hamas drones near Ein Habsor and Nir Oz.
