IDF announces it killed Hamas commander who led attacks on Kibbutz Nirim and Nir Oz
Israel Defense Forces announced this morning that another Hamas Nukhba Force commander from the deadly invasion on Oct. 7 has been killed.
Billal Al-Qedra, commander of the Nukhba Force's southern Khan Yunis battalion, was targeted and eliminated in an airstrike by the Israel Air Force (IAF).
“He was responsible for the murderous raid in Kibbutz Nirim and Nir Oz,” the IDF said.
The IAF also conducted airstrikes on more than 100 additional military targets in the Gaza Strip designed to cripple Hamas’ military capabilities, particularly its rocket launching capability.
According to the IDF, the targets hit in the airstrikes included operational command centers, military compounds, dozens of launchers, anti-tank missile launch posts and observation posts used by Hamas.
The announcement comes one day after the killing of another Nukhba Force commander, Ali Qadi, who was eliminated in a drone strike on Saturday.
